Riverside Arts
Riverside Arts talented and passionate Staff provide participants with the tools to explore their own creative potential. Staff provide adaptive equipment and tecniques to allow people with developmental disabilities to develop their knowledge and skills. For some participants this can be their first time with a paint brush in hand! More
Employment Services
Riverside’s Employment Services assists people, living with developmental disabilities, to find gainful employment and satisfying jobs. Riverside Employment Staff are dedicated to helping participants to develop the job skills necessary for successful and productive employment. Each participant is engaged in individualized employment plans to meet their goals and the requirements of the employer. Riverside works in partnership with the Department of Mental Retardation, area schools, local Chambers of Commerce, Career Centers, and many other community resources to provide the most comprehensive, varied, and flexible supports available. These long-standing relationships ensure that each person receives a broad scope of support services necessary for productive employment. More
Life Skills Development
Riverside’s Life Skills Development provides participants with opportunities for personal growth, independence, and quality living. Riverside participants, along with their family members and advocates, are involved in setting comprehensive goals and objectives that combine traditional clinical and nursing services, with alternative therapies in a lively, communal setting. Life Skills staff are talented professionals encouraging participants to reflect on and pursue their life dreams. More
Transportation
Transportation is a vital service necessary for people living with developmental disabilities to live rich and full lives. Riverside’s fleet of 20 vans and caring drivers, provide transportation for participants to travel to their jobs and become participating members of their communities. More
Riverside Gardens
Riverside Gardens was created with the help of parent Betsy Krogh and land generously donated by Triplebrook Farm in Southampton. The program is a social enterprise, spearheaded by Nick Isherwood, to provide training and employment for participants in a variety of horticulture activities including planting/transplanting, weighing and bagging produce, customer service, and handling money.
