Job Responsibilities for Life Skills
- Support people in small groups to develop their skills in areas that are important to them: fine and gross motor, social, decision making, etc.
- Provide opportunities for people to explore the community and promote community membership
- Develop and teach therapeutic strategies
- Enhance functional and quality of life skills
- Expand cognitive achievements
- Work with a team of professional consultants; (OT's, PT's, SLP's, nurses and psychologist)
- Promote independence, choice and individual control
Qualifications
All positions require effective organizational, time management, judgment, advocacy, problem-solving, interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
Salary and Benefits for Direct Support Professionals

| Starting Salary is $22,837 | Direct Care Positions increase to $29,814 after 4 years of service | ||
