Treatment goals are designed to bring ease and comfort to a person's life. They may include the appropriate design and fitting of assistive devices, improvements in fine motor skills, and the effective use of compensatory techniques to foster independence. Therapists study current trends and new developments in order to improve the quality of life of each client. Therapists work with the client's team to ensure that all involved are knowledgeable about the individual's goals and objectives. When necessary, therapists provide trainings to teachers, families, and care givers.
